British School Bern
Upper School
Upper School in the British curriculum is made up of Key Stages 3-5. Key Stage 5 is often referred to as College, or Sixth Form.
Our Upper School is a hybrid school, where students will learn in a classroom, with an in-class teacher, as well as online specific subject teachers. All upper students will share a classroom. Students are responsible for completing 5 hours each day, but how they do so is up to them. As with our lower school classroom, there will be no more than 15 students per teacher.
Our unique model of upper school will be especially useful for students who are motivated learners, don’t enjoy the traditional classroom setting, are working, or are committed to a full sports program.
In Key Stage 3, students are in years 7-9.
In Key Stage 4, students are in years 10-11
In Key Stage 5, students are in year 12, or College.
